Subject: Requirements for Graduation

Work Completed
Thus far in my high school career I have competed and passed all but ten credits worth of classes. I have successfully gotten and held a job for almost two years and plan to keep it for much longer. Throughout high school I have done few community service/ volunteer programs. Among those I have done are babysitting, volunteering at the library in the summer, assistant coaching a volleyball team and being a receptionist at a yoga studio. The only thing I have done to prepare for college is take the SAT test.

Currently Underway
I am currently in the second semester of my senior year of high school. I am thinking, keyword thinking, about college. I am preparing for the AP tests, I will be taking three this year. I am also saving money every week to go towards an apartment. My hope is to be moved out by this time next year and still going to school and working at least four days a week.

To Be Completed
In march I will be applying to both Grossmont and Cuyamaca community colleges. I am fairly sure I will get in because you don't have to have outstanding grades. If you have the money, you have the class. Speaking of money, I will be filling out the form for FAFSA ethnic the next two weeks for financial aid for college. Once in community college I have to attend each of my classes I am enrolled in and work hard towards going to a four year university. The biggest goal right now it so achieve complete independence and continue school and work until I have a career I am happy with.

Problems and Projections
Some potential problems I am currently facing are my lack of motivation. Also, I have not done enough community service to be looked at and wanted by any University. While going to junior college, I am afraid I will get too comfortable with my job and situation, that I won't want to transfer into a University after I finish my prerequisites. I hope that I never get too comfortable because, lets face it, I really do not want to be a waitress for the rest of my life.
